The Flying Pig Bookstore is delighted to join Candlewick Press in presenting the award-winning, multiple NYTimes-bestselling children's book phenoms, author Kate DiCamillo and illustrator Harry Bliss, at the Main Street Landing Film House on Sunday, September 23 at 2 pm.
Kate and Harry have teamed up on a brand-new picture book, Good Rosie!
ABOUT GOOD ROSIE!: Sometimes a shy dog isn't sure how to make new friends. Rosie is happy with her human companion, George, but would also like some pals of her own canine persuasion. At first, the dog park is overwhelming — too many dogs, too much bounce and bark! Soon, a couple of friendly dogs bound over to meet her. Can Rosie find a way to become friends with big, loud Maurice and tiny, yippy Fifi?
Author Kate DiCamillo says, "I think that maybe Good Rosie! is about how we all need to find our people (or our dogs) and that those friendships are necessary and maddening and wondrous." Illustrator Harry Bliss adds, "I like the way these three dogs find friendship. It’s not always easy letting your guard down, letting someone into your world of insecurities, and I feel this book touches on that in a very intimate and real way."
After their presentation, Kate and Harry will take questions from the audience and autograph books. Please see the book signing guidelines for specifics.
