Liza splits her work time between selling books and making them. Before moving to Vermont, she worked in marketing and circulation, and even wrote book reviews for The Horn Book Magazine (a children’s book review journal). Her experience there kindled her love for children’s picture books. Since graduating from art school, she has illustrated twenty-two children’s books. Several years ago, she began writing books of her own. Her first picture book, Emerson Barks, was published in 2016 by Macmillan Publishing. Next year will see the publication of two more of her picture books. At any given time, Liza might be reading or listening to a middle-grade, young adult, or adult book. She prefers fiction and most importantly loves a good story.
